The first thing i thought of reading this week's questions was Beyonce's "If i Were a boy..."
I always ponder how our society became what it is now. I call it the death-trap of love. Here's my story of how it all began:
Once Upon A Time....Joe and Sally were madly in love, pure love, can't-live-without-each-other kind of love, perfect love. One day Sally goes on a family trip for the summer, leaves Joe lonely, unrepresented. Then one day Victoria, (lets not forget that my story is set when relationships were simple, no cheating, just love) and Joe go out and have a drink to talk about how much he misses Sally. Then oops! They get drunk and the rest you guys can use your imagination. The closes analogy i can make is, victoria and joe had a bite of the forbidden fruit. Sally comes home, finds outs, her hearts broken into a million pieces, confident that there will never be a light at the end of the tunnel ever again. She tries to understand it, she tries to justify it, but nothing made her feel better. Then all of a sudden a light bulb turned on in her head. Can't beat them, then ill join them. So she began her my-hearts-broken-so-i'm-going-to-break-yours crusade. And this my friend, created the death-trap of love. He broke her heart, she breaks another mans heart, he goes on the crusade, breaks other girls hearts. Circle of life or death trap?!
Yes, i have to admit, the fairytale above was derived from some version of a non-fiction story, however no matter how they cheated, or how you cheated. I believe it all happens for a reason. There's a saying "Time heals, what reason cannot." Whether you cheat or have been cheated on, we live and learn. And hopefully we become better people if NOT....listen to kanye west's new song RUNAWAY.
LEt's toast to all them cheaters!!! Karma will come around!
