Last week I came across a great article by Krista Westervelt: “Lisa Lampanelli Marries White Guy.” Now for those of you who don’t know about the hilarious comedic styling of Ms. Lampanelli, let me tell you that this b-hach is about as funny as they come. But the reason the journalist found these nuptials so notable is that Ms. Lampanelli is most famous for talking about how she wants a “big chocolate daddy” or that she loves sex with Spanish guys, but doesn’t get much sleep because she has to keep one on eye on her purse at all times—that kind of stuff. And I guess the sister is speaking from experience because she herself has bellied up to the man buffet and dated the gamut. But now that Ms. Lampanelli is married, people (Howard Stern, journalists, and the like) are now asking if Lisa Lampanalli can continue to succeed in comedy now that she has married a white guy. I don’t get it. First people bitch about interracial relationships and now the problem is that a white woman married a white guy. Please. People say that the “credibility” that allowed her to be successful with her race-based commentary is gone now that he has married a corn-fed white boy. To quote my grandfather, “What horsesh*t!”
